Ok I think from looking at this thread I finally made up my mind as to what music I am doing at ceremony:
after many downloads and websites I am going to do:
mothers and BP- Bach-Air on A G String
ME-Cannon in D Major
Candle Lighting-Ava Maria
Recessional- Wedding March

We're using a string trio. These are our songs:

Family: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach)
BM's: Largo from Sonata in A Major (Correlli)
Me: Canon in D (Pachelbel)

We've also picked the following for use during the mass:
Candlelighting: Guitar Concerto in D, Largo (Vivaldi) - but played by strings
Offertory: Air on a G String
Communion: Panis Angelicus

The psalm is going to be wherever you go - and the organist will be playing/singing that one.

As for the poster who asked if the organist can play the string music, I was actually pretty surprised with how nice the sound was when we met with our organist, but we had long ago decided to hire a trio. The trio's certainly more true, but the organ actually does a pretty good job, which surprised me. You may want to check out the organ at your church though just to make sure it wasn't just this particular organ (which may have been electric?).

ETA:
Recessional: Danza Pastorale, Spring, The Four Seasons (Vivaldi) for us, then All You Need is Love, Beatles, Bittersweet Symphony, etc. as guests walk out.

Also, the strings are going to be playing various songs while guests are coming in, and in particular, the last song before the mass starts is going to be Journey's Don't Stop Believin' (think Adam Sandler waiting at the altar in Wedding Singer) because it'll make me think of the movie and hopefully laugh instead of weep as I'm known to do.

I am the only bride on LIW that still wants to walk into 'here Comes the Bride'??? it seems that not one person on this thread has picked it? Is ther another name for it???

We're gong to have a string quartet, and I want to walk in to Canon in D- I've loved that song for about 15 years now- who knew it would become so popular for weddings!

We're going to have a friend sing Ave Maria during the ceremony, and I want to work the wedding march, jesu, joy of man's desiring,and trumpet voluntary in there somehow. This could be interesting!!

My BIL is getting married in Clarke Gardens so they have to provide their own music so I just burned a CD for the processional of Phil Collins 'Groovy kind of love' by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

For the music while everyone is being seated-
Christopher O'Riley (his cd is piano covers of radiohead)
'You' and 'True Love Waits'

For parents and BP:
'here there and everywhere'- beatles (vocal version)

For Me:
'here there and everywhere'- piano version that's very beautiful
