Re: *****The Official Watermill Thread*****

just wondering...did anyone look into nearby hotels other than the holiday inn and sheraton?

I am going to the bridal extravaganza tomorrow so I am going to ask about blocking rooms, shuttle service, etc while I am there (I'll give everyone an update afterwards)

I also want to look into the Marriott in Islandia.

Does anyone have any info on these hotels?

Thanks!

Hi,
The Sheraton was definitely nice. The inside lobby area was very modern. Unfortunately, the rooms were occupied and we weren't able to see their suites. They want $299 for the romance package which includes the suite, breakfast for two the next morning, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. The lady told me that the suites are all different. The one she recommended to us is bi-level. There is a living room and bathroom on the main level and you have to take a spiral staircase to the bedroom. Let me know if you need more information . The quoted me $163 per night for guests wanting to stay over. Hope this helps.

Kim

P.S. FYI: The Holiday Inn Express will provide shuttle service and breakfast for all guests going to the Watermill.

i'm having a brain fart where is the holiday inn?

Re: *****The Official Watermill Thread*****

There are two Holiday Inns near the Watermill. The first one is east on 347...very beautiful, but doesn't offer shuttle service for the guests. The other Holiday Inn isn't as nice, but will arrange free service to and from the Watermill. It's right off of the LIE...on the service road. (Hauppauge)

Thanks Everyone!

FYI: My FH and I checked out hotels in the area today. We went to the Holiday Inn Express and Sheraton Hotel in Hauppauge. Let me know if you have any questions.

Kim

How did they look??? I am looking to reserve a block of rooms at both, the sheraton I was looking for us and our WP because of the lounge/bar area.

Re: *****The Official Watermill Thread*****

Congrats MarciaA! Out of the two hotels, I love the Sheraton. It definitely has a nice lobby and is very classy. I wasn't as thrilled with the Holiday Inn, but booked them regardless for guest convenience.

Re: *****The Official Watermill Thread*****

Sorry...we had to move the wedding to 2010. Have not asked about cakes yet.

Watermill Brides:

Any new brides I need to add?

How is everyone moving along with the plans?

Any hints to share about the Watermill?

Does anyone know a good place to take pictures nearby?

Also, does anyone know what happens next.....as you move closer to the date?
