The Riveria , Massapequa OR Three Village Inn, Stonybrook

Hi!!

So my fiance and I are planning a wedding, and paying for everything ourselves. We are on a tight budget and have been shopping venues. We checked out the Riveria in Massapequa on Sunday and LOVED it, but now im hearing mixed reviews. Its exaclty what we want, small, cozy, old world feel, on the water and its within our budget. Has anyone had a wedding here that can offer opinion, advice, tips? I checked out Yelp and saw a few bad reviews, but doesnt everywhere have some bad reviews???

Can anyone reccomended a place thats similiar? Im checking out Three Village in next weekend...Any input on that?? Thanks!!

I went to a wedding at Riviera and I thought it was great. The cocktail hour was a bit limited though compared to other weddings I have been to but that might have just been the bride and groom's choice. I just went to an engagement party in Fox Hollow's Winter Garden Pavilion and that has a similar feel. It's not on the water though.

We had orginally booked at Riviera and they double booked us. Their customer service was lacking to say the least. The food isn't great. The views are nice though, which is what sparked our interest to begin with. We ended up getting married at Timber Point which was amazing. Three village is nice and is also a lessings venue so food is great. It is a bit small though, especially the cocktail hour space so I wouldn't recommend it for a big wedding. I would recommend any of the lessings venues. We looked at a few of them and loved all of them. Ultimately timber point had a date that worked for us.
