Yeah i dont get mine done either and i just got engaged on Fri (bad bride huh?)

No time, or interest really. Everyone LOVES my ring and dont even notice my horrid nails

(if there IS such a thing! LOL) is that I have to get a manicure almost EVERY week to keep my nails from looking horrible!!

Thank God it's only $6 a pop!

ETA: I am ashamed to say that I cannot paint my own nails (or put on any makeup other than lipstick very well)

aww really thanks. we had it custom made, but the guy I bought the stone from is great and the prices are good.

I knew I didn't want a diamond, but I almost got one just because it's traditional, but then I went to the Bowery Diamond district and the sapphire blew (no pun intended

) me away.

If you ever want info on precious stones other than diamonds, I would gladly provide his info. I am so happy with it.

I have wraps on my nails - but not the long ones...they literally are as short as regular nails...the wraps hold the manicure polish better and last longer....then I only have to spend money every three weeks rather than every week.

you are all lucky!!! i am stuck in albany where to get your nails done it is 20$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! i lived on LI my whole life and got cheap manis and pedis...and then come up here!!!! it is 40$ for a mani and pedi up here...and thats a GOOD DEAL!

OMG that is so true... I was up in Binghamton visiting FH's family, and I wanted to get a manicure, I couldn't believe how expensive it was!!

oh I hear ya on that one - I lived there for 2 years, and only got a mani ONCE.
