The only thing i still cant do is have dairy right before bed or first thing in the morning ( excetpt my coffee)

If i drink milk before bed...2 hours later i am wake and in the fetal posititon on the bathroom floor

A Gastroenterologist? I have to go on the 3rd - for the colonoscopy...ugh. You have IBS too? I'm at the frustrating point now - because i'm allergic to Immodium - which is the ONLY medicine that used to work for me. They gave me other med - didn't work. There is NO other option...so the doc said he may put me on anti-depressants. WHY? Because the side effect of Paxil is constipation...isn't that nice??? He also said we can try and combine medicines and see if that works... I almost cry thinking about it every time - that i may never, ever have a normal life....

Nothing is abnormal for him when they test him? That doesn't sound right...what about a second opinion?

i have self diagniosed myself with IBS... we had a thread here about it... i started activia and after about 3 weeks it started working... not wonderfully but it worked... now im eating it about every 2 - 3 days instead of everynight.. i was getting bad cramps, and cold sweats...

the GI he went to that did all the tests WAS his second opinion... its beyond frustrating... and NO ONE else in his family has it... they say it was origionally from heavy drinking...however his family also drinks... so why he is the 'lucky' one.. i dont kno...

What if you take that pill for lactose? I think it's called lactaid. My sister in law takes it before she has any dairy and she can eat anything.

She also really likes the lactose free milk. I can't think of the name of it - but she really loves it!

when shes bad....yes...when she sweet and cute and cuddly...no lol

i had to lock her in the cat carrier twice toay for jumping up and trying to eat my food!

Wow - i am so sorry for him!!! That BEYOND stinks... I know how much it stinks - really..regardless of what i eat - it doesn't matter....it comes out. I tried the activa - it didn't help. Nothing ever helps & the doc has told me that it's not a 'glamorous' enough cause for people to do a lot of research on it...so it's rough.

Awwwwww...my dog did that once. I MISS HIM... My dad had pizza on the dining room table...so Jeffrey ran to the front door & started barking and freaking out - so my dad left the table and went downstairs - thinking someone was there. As soon as he left the table - angel poodley ran up the stairs and grabbed his pizza. My dad was laughing way too hard to be angry!!!!!

Have you had a colonoscopy before....I thought I had IBS too but when I went for the colonoscopy they found I had Crohn's disease...which was actually a relief b/c I've responded pretty well to the non steroidal meds....

aww..lol one night we had a whole pie on the tabel ( in the box!) my Lab opene d the box while everyone was sleeping and she ate the whole pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you had a colonoscopy before....I thought I had IBS too but when I went for the colonoscopy they found I had Crohn's disease...which was actually a relief b/c I've responded pretty well to the non steroidal meds....

Yes - i had one in 1998 - and the records are unreadable. VERY Frustrating! I am having this one because it's a new doc & he wants to be sure it's not anything OTHER than IBS. He was very concerned when I told him if i eat 3 meals a day i can go to the bathroom quite literally 15-20 times. That's why i really only eat 2 meals a day and really no snacks unless i'm home.

I truly hope they find it's not IBS and it's something treatable...to know that i have it and there's not much they can do for me is just so disheartening. What really got me was when i asked him - i need something that is 100% guaranteed to work - i want to be able to eat at my shower, at my bachelorette party and my own WEDDING!!!!!!!!!

Nothing came up no idea what happened!

Wow - how odd!!! Maybe you had a burst cyst? I had something similar and they opened me up to operate on the cysts on my ovaries and the huge one that was causing all the problems had burst and all those toxins were in my system...hence the pain.

I'm not the healthiest person ever!
