Tipping Guidelines-Martha Stewart

Just passing on info....there was a good article in Martha Stewart Weddings about tipping. They gave percentages and dollar amounts for each vendor.

Of course, they noted that you should only give tips to vendors AFTER they have gone beyond the call and done a good job.

Finally, they noted which vendors to tip and which vendors are typically not tipped. She noted that the photographer and florist are generally not tipped. In addition, she stated that if the vendor is the owner of the business, he/she should not be tipped.

I get tipped about twice a year, I never expect it .I'm actually happier if I get a Thank You card and a photo from the bride after the wedding, (don't tell my husband I said that). This goes in my portfolio and people like to read them when they meet me for the first time.

By the way, for anyone who has not seen my earlier posts I am a florist.

love that magazine - the ideas were so classy

i purchased a headpiece and veil from davids bridal and once i got it home i did not like it. I did not know that it is not returnable. Should i take it back and see if they will refund my money or at least give me a store credit ???? i do not have $150.00 to waste. Has anyone had an experience at Davids of trying to return something???
