TORNADO WATCH???

I think I'm going to leave at 5:00 or so, probably get to the Island at 6:15/6:30 (I'm coming from brooklyn), and do some shopping till we meet up at 8. That way, I can de-stress from the tornado-filled Friday evening rush hour traffic (Yeah Roosevelt Field on a Friday evening before Christmas, great way to de-stress. Smart one, Dava). Think I could bring my flat iron and use it in Macy's bathroom so my hair doesn't look like a big ugly frizzy puffball before I meet you all?

Dava if you want to get there a little early being you'll be in the area already I'll be there a little early also , maybe 7:30-ish just to make sure they get a move on with our 'seating needs' so hopefully anyone who drives far doesn't have to wait a long time after a long drive in the tornado

I have been dying for a cordless iron
they make them but htey are sooooooooooooo expensive...maybe i will ask for santa for christmas for that

OOH! I've never heard of that! They must run on batteries? They have to be so expensive - regular ones are like $70 or more if you want a good one. But that'd be way less embarrassing to use in the Macy's bathroom at Roosevelt Field.

I might come looking like a homeless freak I went to get my nails done and I locked myself out and FH doesn't know what time he's getting home and forget the fro, what my hair looks like is just scary!

I'm still going... Jenn or no Jenn.... We were supossed to go together since we live so close (she was going to drive), but she had a procedure done on her foot, so I FM'd her and told her I would drive, so hopefully that will convince her to come anyway!

So, how are we going to meet up when we get there? Is there a table reserved for us? Do we find it and sit down there? Or will we all meet in the area by the hostess desk? I HATE walking into a place and looking for people - i get so embarrassed. Like when someone is picking you up from the airport, and you walk through the doors into the main concourse and you know they can see you but there's such a big crowd you can't see them. And you try to look all cool, casually glancing around, when inside you're like, 'where are you??? I know you can see me looking for you and I'm probably going the wrong way and I look like an idiot!'

Am I babbling already? I tend to do that WHEN i meet new people, not usually BEFORE. I'm such a freak.
