A couple of points in response to your posts:

My florist is matthew robbins from Artfool in NYC. It is a good site to look through because he has a ton of pictures in the press section and portfolio section.

The cps are raised slightly because they are in a bowl. Also the bowl we are going to actually use is much bigger.

In terms of over-the-top, trust me, they absolutely will be over-the-top. However, there are different interpretations of over-the-top. I don't believe that higher is better and lower is worse. Almost all of the pics of cps in the magazines are low. I think this long island mentality of high cps is behind the times.

Also in terms of the space, don't forget I am not just having cps in the reception room. There are going to be enormous urns with flowers around the wall of the room.

I am not sure if I understood one of your questions about the lighting, but the cps will be lit from above (pinspotting) and the large urns with the plum branches will be uplit from the floor.

The bq will be like the pink flowers in the pictures. The bms bq will also have chocolate flowers. Mine won't. The reception will be the eggplant/purple flowers.

The bms are wearing chocolate.
