Re: Vanderbilt at South Beach
My cousin had her wedding there it was beautiful! Her ceremony was on the boarwalk which was breathtaking. I do remember my aunt saying that she had brought the food in ( Caviar etc,, )and didnt use there catering. I think it was more of a heritage thing then the fact of the food not being tasty.

Re: Vanderbilt at South Beach
I have to say I don't think I am going to be able to give you details. But we just went to look at it and the place was beautiful, and they are flexible with where to do the ceremony etc... the people there were super sweet and accommodating even though we showed up without an appointment. The only weird thing may be if you have a smaller wedding. They split the room in half, and might have another affair happening at the same time. The space seemed a little awkward for that...sorry hope this helps a bit...

Re: Vanderbilt at South Beach
They are very expensive like 160-180 a plate and this was a price we were quoted for January. Also, I have not heard anything good about the food there. I've never tasted the food personally, but everyone I know who has, had complaints.

Re: Vanderbilt at South Beach
Hi girls,I got married at Vanderbilt South Beach, I was super satisfied with them. I had my doubts before the wedding but I just have to say I felt like a princess getting married. I dealt with Sal and he's super good with emails, I hate ppl who take forever to reply & this guy makes u feel he can take care of u one on one. From the beginning, he never said no to me, he made myself say no, he'll look into prices for u, and u'll tell him if u want it or not..
My guests have only good things to say about the food, even my boss wrote me a letter telling me that the steak was better than any steak she's ever tried at a five star restaurant. I thought it was a little exaggerated but the fish was super good in my opinion..the bride & groom gets to eat all choices that u're offering to ur guest..oh and the good thing is they charge half price for kids..some receptions charge full price for kids..i also got praises for the sorbet that we didnt get to try..
my ceremony was very nice too..i had it outdoors by the gazebo..i had the whole place..300+ ppl...
there is one thing i must say that's bad..for 300 ppl..the cocktail room might not be big enough..but bring it up to Sal and see what he can do for u..if, u have that many ppl..
well hope this helps..if there's something i didnt cover, feel free to ask.. ( =

I have been to the Grand Propsect Hall for a few affairs. The food is good but I have to say the place is like a factory. There could be more then two weddings (affairs) going on at the same time. As soon as you go there you will see that they do multiple weddings at once because there are so many different room. Now I know Russo's has more then one bride at a time but they are separated and you don't see the other bride at all. At the Grand Prospect you could definitely run into another bride.

Place is horrible. It really does smell. Checked it out and was quoted almost $200 per plate for a Sunday evening wedding. Then went to a wedding there (though kosher one) and the food was just terrible. Barely touched anything!
The big room (for 300 people) is stunning looking but that's about where the positives end.
