Has anyone used Stan Wiest Entertainment for their reception music?? I received info in the mail and seem to be exactly what we are looking for. We are looking for a DJ that does not interrupt the music the entire night..no MC, no props, garter belt toss, Electric Slide, I Will Survive, etc.

He seemed very professional and his band plays the North Fork Country Club Holiday Party every year.

I had less than 9 months and they were able to accommodate me. I ordered my dress in mid feb for mid sept wedding. They never said anything to me. You just have less time to shop around. My dress came in three months later and my first fitting was in July (and it supposedly had to be special ordered becasue I fell between sizes), so the dress sat in their storage for a month and change. They will always tell you that you wont have enough time, but trust me eight months should be pleanty of time. Give it a try, I'm sure they won't turn your business down.

Check to see if the town clerk was correct too. I had a friend try to change her SS # to her married name after the wedding, and the clerk insisted on seeing her Visa, because NEW MEXICO (where she was born) was NOT part of the US!!! The clerk had to go check with her supervisor to confirm my friend was right, after she made a bit of a scene, before she would process the paperwork.

Well, I had my bridal shower yesterday, and it was one I will never forget! My fiance told me he had gotten some football tickets from work, and they were in a luxury box so I had to dress up b/c some high-up execs would be there. We were meeting his friends for brunch beforehand. We get to the restaurant, and he is conferring with the hostess, and I can see her searching through her book, shaking her head. By this time I kind of figured it out. But, it turns out that the location of the shower was changed, but nobody told my fiance!! he was so upset! I handed him my cell phone, and he was calling everyone, but of course no one had their phone on! The shower started at 11:30, and its now after 12, and we have no idea where it is! Finally, my MOH suspected that we were at the wrong place, and called us. We had to fly from Oakdale to Smithtown! I finally got there at 12:45, and missed half my shower! Everything was beautiful, but I had to immediately start opening gifts, b/c we only had the place until 2. It went so fast, I feel like I never got a chance to chat w/ everyone. My fiance said, well, thats how the wedding will be...lol. Oh, I just have to add, my mom had a wonderful idea. She had bought a loose leaf binder, and decorated the cover with lace, ribbons, and flowers. Before I got there (she had plenty of time...lol), she gave everyone a piece of pretty stationary, had them write something to me, and then took each of their pictures with a polariod, glued them on to their page, and bordered it with ribbon. On the first page was a poem she had written to me. It was so pretty, who knew she was so creative? LOL. It was a beautiful touch.

I had a great experience with Michele roth so far. I ordered my dress in Augus for this June and my first fitting is not until April. Michele was so nice and spent a lot of time with me as well as Cindy. She even hugged me when I left b/c we bonded so much in those 2 hrs. I am going for a veil and headpiece showing in a few weeks. any advice on that???? Overall I had a great experience
If you have a little time check local craft stores for a plain white Pillar. You can easily add your own touches. Believe it or not I saw a nice scalloped white pillar in Walbaums last night.

I went for my final fitting last night and everything was PERFECT!!! Although I am not crazy about Evangelia, the woman in charge of the fitting dept, I went back to see Michelle to thank her and she was ever so warm and gracious. She helped me pick out a necklace to wear that matched my headpiece perfectly. Cathy, who was my consultant, a year ago, remembered me as soon as I walked in the door. It really is a great place.

I purchased my headpiece there and I love it. It is a PARIS headpiece with ivory painted enamel orange blossoms and crystals. They ahve a unique selection, but are definitely on the expensive side. I would say the range is between $250-$500 for the headpiece.
