VFW/AMERICAN LEGION HALLS?

Hi everyone.
I am trying to put together a wedding that can accommodate about 150 people but I want a very inexpensive hall. Does anyone know a vfw/american legion knights of Columbus hall they like or know of that may work for me?

I was going to elope but my mom is very upset about that so I am trying to have something so the family can be there and she can have her daughters wedding to go to. Please help!! this whole thing is very stressful!
Kim

VFW/AMERICAN LEGION HALLS?

you may want to check a few less expensive venues and do during a Thursday night or a Monday which is a holiday, this can keep the prices down.. I have seen some do a day weekend for $50 a person... not sure how much you would end up paying for catering, bakery and such odds.. just a thought

VFW/AMERICAN LEGION HALLS?

knights of columbus in oceanside. aka o'connell gardens. i think they can hold up to 200 people and it's very nice inside. not your typical vfw/koc.

VFW/AMERICAN LEGION HALLS?

Check out The Elks Lodge, it's a beautiful place (we used the one in Smithtown, but they have some in other locations) and I know she said they have done weddings. It was 24.95 for kids and 35.95 for adults with beer and wine. They set everything up for you all you do is bring in decor and music. I have a few pictures in my album under Engagement Party.

VFW/AMERICAN LEGION HALLS?

Look at AOH halls too. What's inexpensive to you? you may be able to get better pricing (and way less stress!) by using a place like east wind that does packages. it's not just the venue you have to think of, all of the extras like limos flowers dj photo etc, add up. doing it yourself is very stressful so if you don't like planning then i would look for packages rather than halls like this! tell us your budget so we can help you better :)

Re: VFW/AMERICAN LEGION HALLS?

Hi Kim,
I have a similar story. I have a very tight budget of $8K since my fiance and I will be paying for the wedding ourselves. I was also looking into the Elks Lodges or Knights of Columbus halls. Where did you end up getting married?
Can anyone please let me know which of the two halls have the best looking rooms and where? I'm looking at 150 guests. I live in Suffolk but am willing to go to Nassau and Queens.

Thanks
LB
