I'm so glad that this topic was posted. We are having a videographer and my mother was all upset saying that it wasn't necessary. I definately want to show her this, because the majority feel the videographer was worth it

I was about to write how I have never wanted one. However, reading some of these posts have now got me thinking.....

Re: Videographer.. will I regret it if I don't have one?
My memory has gotten worse through the years, that I knew I HAD to have video. I want to always remember and cherish that special day. Also, I want it to capture the things that I didn't get to notice thoroughout the day. But mostly what sold it to me, like palebride, a co-worker was forced to have the video by his DW, and his mom passed away months later... it was the very last footage he had of her, and his children get to see their grandmother in action. Thank God that no one in my family is sick, however, you never know how long we all have here.

No. All of my friends that got one said they watched it at most 3 times. One of my friend's little girls like to watch it all of the time... their only comments are 'Wow, Mommy you looked so thin and pretty then'

Re: Videographer.. will I regret it if I don't have one?
Nope - I'm just having my MOH's dad videotape using my video camera. My mom has one and I don't think we've looked at it in years. I'm sure it would be nice to have, but at the same time I personally would rather spend the money on something else.I guess it's an individual decision... good luck!
