Re: Votive Placecards made easy!

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone knew where I can see a picture of what these votives look like. I heard they are great.

Thanks,

Meghan

I got mine today...went to the Michaels on 110 and got the last 3 packages on the shelf...so I get to the register, and the girl says , WOW, theses things are selling like crazy..is there some type of phone chain going on with soon to be brides?

I laughed and said something like that...lol

I was in there yesterday buying them!!! I think there were 3 packages left over

Re: Votive Placecards made easy!

OK call me crazy-but how will guests be able to pick up the candles if they are hot? If anyone has any instructions or templates they have used-please forward. Thanks,

Re: Votive Placecards made easy!

Did anyone else try printing them yet? Mine came out a little off centered when I used the template...just practicing, so I hope the rest came out ok...and they were a little hard to get on the votive...you will have to cut the paper, because it overlaps a lot and is noticable ( the overlapping), but all in all, worth $4.99 for 40!!!!

Votives to be placed at placesettings or on card table

Quick question for anyone doing this project-are you putting the votives at esach indiv setting--or are you putting these on a small table by the door for people to carry in with them? Still trying to figure out how this works-thanks

I am using them instead of placecards. I will have them on a table when the guests come in so they know where to sit.

Re: Votive Placecards made easy!

I made three just to see how they would come out. And it smeared and I even let it dry but the oils from my hand keep making it smear. Did this happen to anyone else.

Re: Votive Placecards made easy!

I got plain vellum paper 8 1/2 x 11 after a few tries getting the font and size correct I was able to print a few on a page. Then I took my paper cutter and cut them out and attached them to a votive holder.

The one I tried came out really cute and I am so glad I found this post!!! Now I have my place cards now to find centerpieces that have candles also.... hmmmmmm

Any ideas?
