yeah well this girl is mental and i guess so in my brother in law. He didn't even want to date her and at the time I convinced him to give her a chance and Im the one who got turned on. I have a mother in law though that likes to stir the pot and make everyone dislike each other. I have two other kids from a long time ago relationship and my boyfriend wants to adopt them. Long story short they call him daddy and are even planning on changing there name since they haven't had any contact with their sperm donor in 12yrs. Well his brother deceided all of the sudden to treat them as the evil step children once she came in the picture. She doesn't allow him to even give them gifts for special occasions anymore, he has to sneak it when he does. After all they really aren't family the only nephews he has according to her is the two new babies. She's nuts I tell ya!

Okay, now that I know this is a Bachelorette party, maybe the Bra size is a joke. Did the invite come from her or her Bridal Party? In any case, still tacky and OMG talk about a last-minute invite. I wouldn't go.

antoinette72, OMG! I am so sorry you had to be so uncomfortable at that wedding. Are you inviting this person? Sounds like the kind of stuff my family would pull. My aunts once dressed her kids up in crappy clothing for my communion party (long time ago) just to make my photos come out bad because she is eternally jealous. People are sooo stupid.

I'd skip the shower...possible the wedding too, or just give a gift gift instead of money - spend less on her if you want.

This woman is just a nut job!!! How can she come along and treat kids like crap - kids who have been in thepicture way longer than her - and your FBIL is a jerk!!!

Hmmm. I doubt she's preggers but could be? She has had that same bra size since I've been in touch with her though so it's not bigger.

She has been talking about marrying this guy for a while though so it was 'kind of' planned. I guess they just decided to finally do it at the last minute. I think I am just a C lister and she thought to invite me to the shower at the last second too.

I am not going to this party/shower at all and I may skip the wedding and just send the etiquette book and go have a nice weekend of shopping and and spa day with my mom. I have Red Door gift certificates from my birthday that I have not used.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with family drama. :) I have to worry about my side of the family at the wedding and I have to separate my FI's family as his parents are both divorced and remarried. We're going to have a speech before the wedding. 'Whoever acts up gets kicked out.' Of course, that's after they give me my gift.

Make sure you get them some alchohol before the pics! :) Seriously, sit them both down separately and explain how important this day is to you and how you would like them to behave and be civil with one another. I'm sure they'll do it for you. This day IS about you, not them.

LOL LOL

My dad does not really drink but I'm not worried. They typically behave when it comes to family functions. They just both tend to scowl at each other. LOL LOL They NEVER speak to each other though. LOL LOL It's amazing to know that they were married for 18 years. I still get shuttled between both homes for holidays when I fly down to visit.

This is why I tell FI he still has to worry about his ex. They have a 9 year old son and he thinks that once his son is about 13 he won't have to deal with her anymore. I reminded him about graduations, weddings, grand kids, etc.... People don't think about that stuff when they have kids. They are creating a whole new generation that will have all these events where they have to see the other person - unless that man/woman is just a deadbeat that is not involved with their kid.

Wow - how did this vent about a late invite become all about family drama. LOL LOL LOL

That's only the beginning of the drama believe me. I have no intension of inviting her but Im sure my mother in law will find some way to get them there since it is his brother. I felt bad at first but no more. If you think these two are bad you'd die laughing at my own brother and his witch. Real short, they didn't invite anyone on my side of the family to their engagement party because your engagement party is only for friends and the bridal party and they were already up to 75 people to invite family would've been too costly, then have the nerve to show me there pictures from the party were her whole family was there!
Do yourself the favor and don't bother with this party, stay stress free, from what I hear you experience enough planning your own! Good Luck and thanks for all the info. on the halls.

Antoinette72, don't let it stress you out. It's your wedding and you should allowed to be happy and enjoy yourself. Inviting people that will bring you down will only bring the opposite. Just deal with the backlash afterwards. So not worth it.

I can not stop laughing. I know maybe the bridal party sent out the invite but I would have to seriously have a talk with my bridesmaids if they put my bra size on an invitation.
