There is a cap on alterations at the wedding center. It is $55. I felt that the sales people their were helpful and honest. I could have afforded to go somewhere else for dresses, but I felt that other places were so pushy and phony (bridal reflections) that I wanted to be somewhere where you knew the owner. Bob is pushy, but he's not phony. That's key. Anyway, you'll hear a million opnions, but I know that I had a good experience there, and I'm sure others too, or it wouldn't have been in business for 30+ years. I met Bob, his daughter (who's really cool), etc.

$55??? you mean for a BM dress. that's very reasonable!

they quoted me $250 JUST for the hem and bustle.

that's what I ended up paying somewhere else and add to that a LOT of work on the bodice and beading b/c I lost weight.

I am not sure what the $55 cap is you are talking about but I went there and asked them directly and they directly told me they don't have a cap on alterations. I guess that is for the BMs.

I do not know specifically if it was bm or wedding dress.

Wedding Center In Commack is the worst experience that I have ever had. I am locked with them because of my contract with them to do everything for my wedding.

I bought their whole wonderful act, and then when I signed the contract, I was a dime a dozen. The packages have so many hidden costs, the vendors give you bare minimum, which makes you have to spend more money. FM me if you care to know the hidden costs, you'll die. Oh BTW they tend to be very opinionated when you tell them what you like.

What type of alteration problems did you have at Commack wedding center?? I just ordered my wedding dress there and was just told that they do horrible alterations. I'd really appreciate any input you could give met. Thanks so much.
