Re: Wedding crashers and security

Like all the other girls said - inform your BM about her and the entire situation. Maybe even provide them with a pic of her so they know what she looks like. If shes this much of a nut maybe you and FH should get restraining orders.

Keep us updated with what you decide to do (besides buy the ex a straightjacket).

Re: Wedding crashers and security

Has she overstepped her boundaries already??? Has she shown up at your place, etc, etc? I would consider getting a restraining order if she is that crazy...then she might face real charges if she tries to crash.

Also if she does crash...do not freak out...do not let her see you freak out...then she wins. Just have security take her away....no yelling or fusses!

Re: Wedding crashers and security

Just tell your BM, if she shows up they will escort her off the property or call the police. Anyone that would do that has got to be way off their rocker, I had a few thoughts that my ex may show up at the church but not the reception.

I wouldnt hire security for that, it would probably become a whole issue if she doesnt show up, if your guests walk out they have to show proof etc. can be quite annoying.

I would just tell you BM to make sure that you Maitre D is aware of the situation if one does arrive.

Re: Wedding crashers and security

I hate to even post about this - but since your asking - please know your not alone!
Situation was similar but different it didn't exactly involve an ex. I won't go into messy details on here but I had undercover security.

It did all work out fine in the end but that secured our day. Pretty sad to be honest.
My wedding planner and all staff had a meeting w/most wanted photos of individuals in question so they were all aware of what would be the protocol if something where to happen.

Example: Plan A, Plan B, & Plan C (which was police escort)
It is a good idea to hand a 'most wanted' photo to your Maitre D and whom ever else that needs to be warned prior your event for smooth sailing if you really think this will be an issue. Better safe than sorry.

FM me for more details and if you decide you would like to use the security I used I will contact them to see if they are available. (They also are cops - BTW)
