Re: Wedding shoes...open or closed toe..

i'm wearing closed with thigh highs. i am not doing the garter toss so no one will see them(except FH). i am wearing the garter though. I think taht closed give sthe traditional look. i really wouldn't go bear for your wedding even if you have an open shoe. it makes the look moire informal.

Re: Wedding shoes...open or closed toe..

June bride chiming in:

I am wearing open toe shoes and no stockings! That is how I will be most comfortable. Most people won't even notice and 1/2 the ones that do won't care. The ones that care will probably be the oldest ones (grandma might have an issue) as they are the most traditional.

Thanks ladies...I wanted open toe but the lady at the dress place told me no one wears open toe on their wedding day ...so I just wanted to ask

That's ridiculous. I highly doubt NO bride has ever worn open-toed shoes. My FMIL said that, too, but really -- if that was the case, why would they show all those open-toed shoes in bridal mags? You're the one who's going to be on your feet all day anyway!

Re: Wedding shoes...open or closed toe..

My feet sweat so I need to wear stockings or else my shoes would kill. So I got closed toe. I like the way open toe look but for me I knew my piggies would be screaming!

Re: Wedding shoes...open or closed toe..

i love open toe shoes but i'm wearing stockings and in my opinion you just can't wear open toe with stockings so i bought plain ole pumps because i'm not going to be wearing much after the ceremony anyway

Re: Wedding shoes...open or closed toe..

I'm actually more comfortable with stockings and closed toe. But, I see absolutely nothing wrong with wearing open toe for your wedding!
