Re: Weekend Plans
First the couple started off (well the husband) by saying that 'All the evil in the world is b/c of homosexuality' I am not lying. Also, that all children from divorced parents are 'scum' I am quoting what he said. It really upset me and the other people there. Two couple left but we stayed b/c I didn't want to have to retake it and my mom is making us get married in a church. I am sure not all are like this but what horrible things to say. It just really made me mad. FH is not catholic and was so angry I had to fight to keep him there. I actually wrote a letter to the archdioceses b/c I was so upset. I am not a religious person but come on its 2008. Just a bad bad experience. The other thing I hated was the second class all they talked about Natural Family Planning. Most people don't follow that so it was annoying. They were so pushy with what they believed.

Friday: Din at FFIL
Sat: FH Golf, Me lunch with an old friend (Sorority Sister I haven't seen in a year)
Sun: Hang out! I am a teacher and I have three students who keep having seizures and they cant figure out why. Yesterday the one girl had 8. It is so stressing me out b/c Its scary. Oh and good luck at PreCana (The worst thing FH and I have ever had to experience. It made me hate the Roman Catholic Church even more! But good Luck)
where did you do your precana because we did ours ar a roman catholic church, we had a good time, we ate, drank coffee and sat in a circle talking about just everyday bs, nothing really to do with the church
Ours was at a roman catholic church too! I expalained why it was so bad in another post if you want to read why it was so horrible!

Tonight I'm starting my laundry. Tomorrow I have errands and cleaning to do. On Sunday, I'm taking my mother to look for her dress! Then I'm taking her to my cousin's (MOH) for lunch and so my mother and aunt can spend some time together.

I am so sorry that you had a bad experience. Our precana was wonderful. We learned tools that we actually USE in our marriage - half in a mocking way but it definitely has helped us in our relationship. You should definitely follow up with the diocese bc people like that should NOT be leading precana!
We learned about Natural Family Planning too and while they said a few things I didn't agree with - it was mostly just informative!

It was not normal. I wrote a letter to my priest, teh precana people, and the priest whos church my precana was held in. It really was horrible. I was so upset after we left.
