Is the BM the one you'll deal with at the wedding? I didnt like the Banquet Manager i originally met with and almost didnt book the place because of him - but I wont be dealing with him at all on the day of the wedding.

It def seems like you liked CLM better. When we went to book at MJ, we also dealt with JOhn.. He seemed really nice and really worked with us. I would say to try to weigh out the pros and cons of each and figure out what is important to you and FH.

I hope all works out! it is such a big decision to make!!!!!

I think a good repore (sp?) with your BM is important. At least to me it is. I want to know that the person that is my contact and 'running' my day knows me and does all he/she can to put me at ease. For example, as kdrainey had mentioned when seh was at JT, my BM is Mike Closs. I have talked to and met with him about 8 times since we signed our contract in Sept '04. Any concern about ANYTHING I had, he put me at ease. Each time I call or go by, even if it's not to see him, he goes out of his way to say 'Hello Jill'. I am still shocked he remembered my name, and FH's before even meeting him!

As for your dilemma on which hall to choose, don't make a rushed decision.

Decide what facts/features are MOST important to you then list out which has them. A Pros and Cons list, actually write it out. This is what I did.

Also, as kdrainey said, even if the outdoor cocktail area is beautiful, if it rains or is humid as heck (which we all know it gets in NY), you won't get to enjoy it.

CLM was one of our options, and I LOVED it, b/c I wanted a beach theme wedding at a place on the water. But FH and I collectively decided what was most important to us and made our decision from there.

I am a Majestic Gardens Bride to be and I have to say that one of the biggest reasons we went with MG is because it is one affair at a time and I fell in love with the large Ballroom.

Forget about the vibe you got from him. The place is highly respectable and it is very classy. If you like the decor and could see yourself there on one of the biggest days of your life ... then go for it! If not, look elsewhere.

you keep on posting the same question over and over, but no one can make this decision for you!!! You have to go with what you want, what does your FI want?? What about taking family members to both locations?? Regardless of what people say, there are pros and cons of every hall!!! Go with your gut!! JMO
