Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

When I booked in August, they gave me direction cards. Nothing like being too prepared, huh? We were like........um, thanks for the directions almost 2 years in advance. I hope I don't lose them!

I didn't get any of that stuff and I only booked in April. I wonder if they realized that we might lose them. I am anxious to go there and see the place again

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

They will give you direction cards any time you want, just stop by and pick them up. I got the placecards when I chose my menu b/c I went with the WM's cards to save myself time and $$$.

I wonder if they have done anything to the Garden Rm. recently. Someone said that they redid the ceiling of the Manor Rm.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

We lucked out because there was a cancelation the day before we went there. We had originally planned on getting married in Oct but there were no dates available. At first I was freaking out because there is so much to do, actually I am still freaking out, but I am so excited that now I only have to wait less than 6 mths.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

That's awesome Bridget. When I first read it - I was like there must have been a cancellation because we started with the first Saturday night in May and they were booked. That is how we got June 19th!! That is so awesome for you!!! Funny how things work out!

I guess I should add and unfortunate for whoever cancelled!! Everything happens for a reason...

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

When you chose the menu, you chose the cakes and look through their books - they have 2 books - 1 book for the cakes included and 1 book for the ones that cost extra $$$$

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I went last night and did final arrangements. I got one of the cakes included but its really nice. Burtons is going to decorate it though w/ cascading roses. Westbury Manor didnt have roses as a decoration choice and it alot of $ to use them to add a few flowers.

Were the cakes pretty?
I want to use one included since I'd rather not spend too much more.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I want to do the same, I htink its a waist for us to do a more expensive cake since we have added the vieneze hour (sp). How does itt work the florist decorated the cake at the hall or your florists give WBM the flowers and WB puts them on?
