We give $250 to most but $500 to close friends and family.

That's what I'm trying to figure out now for a wedding I'm attending down in DC this weekend! If FH and I didn't have 7 other weddings besides our own this year, I'd give more than what we can afford to do.

We always try to cover our plate plus some. So usually 200 for the couple. Unless its family/close friend. Then we give a little more.
