Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

I'll hopefully have a teaching job by that point so I wanted it to be when I am off from school.
We both love the summer and the beach!
And we wanted to keep our '19th'. Our dating anniversary is march 19th and our wedding will be July 19th.

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

for us it was we both love the winter, we have 8 birthdays in December, and February flowers would be through the roof because of Valentines day, so that left January.

we chose sunday the 17th because it is Martin Luther King Weekend, and my family from Florida either work for schools or banks, so they have the day off and woldnt have to miss work or class to make the wedding. Fly in on Saturday, out on Monday.

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

We both LOVE Halloween and getting dressed up and all of that so we decided to do Halloween and have a masquerade ball. It is so fun planning and getting the decorations....also our anniversary is New Years Eve, we were engaged on Valentines Day so it is nice to keep all of our anniversaries on holidays....makes it easier for him to remember!!

We LOVE winter and snow and we are so not summer people, we both hate the hot weather so it was just perfect for us.

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

Well I am from Long Beach and wanted the wedding to be in my church. I have so many people from out of town I didn't want it to be too hectic in the summer but I wanted it to be enjoyable. So I went from trying to book something in Sept '08 with no luck to moving to May '09 and now I am in love with the Spring and all of the flowers available.

FH and I are also busiest with work in the fall so it was getting stressful to even think about it!

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

Well one of the main reasons was seeing the RH all decorated for the holidays. Every place was breath taking. The lights, trees, just everything was so nice.
And of course the price.
Oh yeah I hate the heat.

July 2, 2009 is the day before the federal holiday for 4th of July which is on a Saturday that year. So most people will only have to take off one day for work and have the next day to rest.

This is exactly why we picked July 3rd. I always wanted a 4th of July wedding but heard too much bitching and complaining so I figured that if i had it on the 3rd then people were free to do whatever it is they claim they do on the 4th (everyone complained but no one we know does anything special )

Also, FH birthday is January and mine is February so we figured it would be nice to celebrate something 6 months later...hence summer

...oh yea and my family wouldnt fly in from AZ any other time than the summer

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

I really wanted the fall but, it was too expensive. Then we were going for a winter being off-season but, then august fell right into our laps and got a better deal. I just happen to be able to get my parents wedding anniversary as a bonus.

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

I just love the spring early summer when all the flowers are blooming and there is that small in the air of grass. lol. I don't do good in the winter way to cold.

The day 5-31-09 will be our 9 years anniversary so it was pretty significant.

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

We wanted a holiday weekend so it would be a long weekend for our family. The first holiday weekend of 2009 is Memorial day and the flowers are so beautiful at Swannie around that time

Re: What made you pick the day/season of your wedding?

We picked the summertime because I don't like the cold. And, fh didn't like the idea of having to wear thermals under his tuxedo. As far as the date we just choose it (no sentimental value)
