Candela (romantic) & Zen Palate (vegetarian) are good!

Re: What's a GOOD place to eat in Soho or Union Square area??

for dinner on the weekends, I highly recommend reservations around union square, I was once walking around with a friend and it was 9:00 at night and all the union square rest. said a wait about 45 min. to an hour.

Check out Cafeteria, it's a little over on the West side 20's but it's trendy but affordable. There's this great little Pan latin restaurant in SOHO, great drinks and food it's called IDEYA and it's a few blocks below Prince.

Oooh, just thought of another - AZ, which I think is on 17th. So good, with yummy cocktails. The restaurant can be pricey, but if you dont' mind eating inthe downstairs bar, it's not so bad.

I was just at America in November!!! I can't believe it closed down!!!

Did America close recently??? I passed by it a few months ago and it was open (and I was brought back to my 18th surprise b-day party that was held there ... back in 1986 with my good pal Lucy Liu )

It had to be fairly recently, we were there in December for a going away with work, and then a couple of months later it was closed. Passed it on Saturday, and it's definitely a closed and not a renovation. I don't get it, it was always crowded whenever I went there.
