Re: What was the worst wedding 'accident' that you have ever witnessed?
No real embarrassing accidents to speak of other than....My cousin's wedding (my MOH). The best man was not there for the rehearsal since he was on vacation, and had never even been to a wedding before, so he had NO CLUE what he was doing!!! Since I was her MOH, I had to keep telling him while we were at the altar what to do. But because of this, my cousin and her DH couldn't stop laughing. As a result, he and I ended up standing when we were supposed to be sitting, and other mishaps that we just laughed through.
I fell at my brother's wedding and twisted my ankle because of the damn tight mermaid dress I had to wear. Luckily, I was in the bridal suite and not on the dance floor, so only 2 people saw it happen. But because of it, EVERYONE found out what happened, including my brothers, SILs and my parents. I told my brother and SIL to go downstairs and enjoy their wedding, that I would be fine. Thank God it was towards the end of the night!!

I went to my friend's wedding which was a traditional Indian Ceremony. During th ceremony, the bride & Groom are on that area that is all set up and covered with a canopy - everyone is sitting on this area with the priest (not sure the name on it).Well, during the ceremony someone's cell phone starts ringing. Okay...embarrassing moment. Then the phone starts to ring & ring again. Then again...then again. We are all looking around to see whose phone it is and the ceremony continues. It is coming from the bride and groom, it sounds like it is the photographers.
We are all thinking, Jeez - just shut the damn phone off! Then it rings again! Finally, the priest answers it in the middle of the ceremony, exchanges a few words, and proceeds with the ceremony!
Hysterical! I told my friend to send that in to America's Funny Videos

Re: What was the worst wedding 'accident' that you have ever witnessed?
everyone's stories are sooo funny! mine's not funny for anyone but me and this sounds mean but it's b/c it happened to my cousin whom i really don't like! for some strange reason, her dad, (who is divorced from her mom and had remarried) decided to invite his dead wife's ex-husband to the wedding. (and this is not the classiest bunch of people may I add!) well this man somehow got into a fight w/ one of the grooms family members and they had this huge rumble during the reception! it was like a movie, the music stopped, the bride ran out crying and the groom came out later to announce over the mic that the two fighters had to leave!

The band was so loud and the music was pounding so the cake ended up falling off the table!

The bride started crying halfway through the wedding. Then she shut herself in the bridal suite and didn't come out for the rest of the night. She didn't cut her cake, nothing. They got divorced nine months later. I have no clue what happened!

A co-workers' wedding I went to the DJ was so loud, this older relative took 2 napkins & put them in his ears.At a friend's wedding the groom got so drunk he was really out of control dancing w/ the bm's, lifting them up and grinding w/ them, it was definitely not appropriate.

Re: What was the worst wedding 'accident' that you have ever witnessed?
I just remembered another incident....my ex was my date for the same cousin's wedding. He had a drinking problem...not that he would drink too much, but that he would become an a$$hole when he would drink. Well keep in mind I was her MOH, and the entire bridal party and their dates were on the dais table. He decided the moment I finally got to sit down after taking photos was good to start a fight with me. I understood he was unhappy about being alone at the table and not really knowing anyone, but this upset me to no end. Instead of helping out my cousin half the night, I ended up storming across the hall (which I think everyone, especially my family noticed) and ran to the bathroom and cried.
He then chased after me and here I was in the bathroom crying, while he was outside begging me to come out. Eventually, I did come out and we both calmed down, and my brothers and my cousin wanted to kill him. My cousin even asked me if I wanted him to leave, but my stuff was in his car, and I knew kicking him out would have made things worse. We did have a good time the rest of the night.
Did I mention we broke up shortly after that??

Re: What was the worst wedding 'accident' that you have ever witnessed?
At my cousin's wedding right after the priest asked if anyone objected to the marriage, there was a huge thunderclap, flash of lightening, and the lights flickered. My uncle who doesn't believe in marriage anymore, just sat there doing his best not to crack up.At a friend's wedding, the priest was totally unprepared with a homily....(although I have to admit not as funny as the undressing homily that marymoon posted!)...and he was trying to compare marriage to a painting. I thnk he was trying to say that its a beautiful thing you create, but instead he came out saying that it never turns out how you want it to. When he realized that he said it he tried to recover, but it just made it totally obvious to those who missed it the first time.
Then at this same wedding, while the bride and groom were taking pictures at the church, the limo drivers were going nuts trying to get the antique car to start. They ended up snaking the jumper cables through the car in order to try and do it discreetly.
Oh and by the way, my cousin is still married years later.
