we're looking right now. the plan is to find something near my school so i can live there and commute. after our wedding, my fh will move in with me.

My fiance and I started living together about 4 months ago, way before we got engaged. we started looking about 2 months before our move date. We found our apartment on craigslist.com, it was the first apartment we looked at and we loved it!

We are going to renew the lease when it's up in Jan, to save money for our house.

Good post...I've been wondering this also...and like you said I don't want to start looking now only to find something that we really love and are not in the position to do something about...I think we'll start looking towards the end of this year or beginning of next...

we are getting married 3/06 so we are going to start this Nov.

Same with us, although we might start in Sept/October....I'm living with my parent's until we get married though.

We're going to start looking three months before we get married. The earliest we would move in together would be the month of the wedding - but with everything gonig on at the time, we don't anticipate that. Our goal is May 1 and hopefully an apartment to rent in Bay Ridge or Dyker Heights, and start saving to buy a Condo/Co-op/House.
