I have to recommend 'My Daughter's Wedding' in Great Neck. I had originally ordered a dress from Bridal Reflections and it came in in the wrong color, I was absolutely panicky. I looked in many places but with only 5 weeks to the wedding there wasn't much time to order one---well the wonderful people at My Daughter's Wedding (perfect name), could not have been more helpful. The alterations were perfect. They have by far the largest selection of any store I went to, and will customize any dress, ie I wanted sleeves put in. They are wonderful, have your mother look there.

you should definitely check out Alta Moda in Bellmore on Merrick Rd.. my mom is getting her dress there.. she tried on a couple of styles, then they totally customize a dress for you.. I think it is definitely worth a trip and it is right in your backyard!

Are they affordable? I am trying to find a place that isn't very expensive. All of the places I have looked at have dresses at like 800. I don't want my mom and FMIL to spend a small fortune. Thanks for the info.

My mom and fmil both got their dresses from Macys in Manhasset after going to dozens of other places!! Both the dresses are gorgeous and not old farty at all!!

They were both under $600

My mom just ordered her dress from OMNIBOUS in Babylon!!! it took a week to come in
they are soooooo great there!!!!
they are great to work with and have a large selection
