Where to buy/find a wedding dress??

Hi!

So I'm trying to figure out the best place to look for a wedding dress and I'm a little overwhelmed about all the options! I'm looking for a simple, but elegant bohemian style dress. I also would like to stay in the 1500-2000 dollar price range. Any thoughts? I'm willing to go to the city or anywhere in the tristate area.

An added plus would be if they sold bridesmaids dresses too :)

I highly recommend Max Bridal in Mineola. It's a smaller shop but they have a good selection of dresses, as well as bridesmaid dresses. They only take one appointment at a time. I loved working with them. My BM's got 10% off since I purchased my gown there.

I went to RKbridal. They were awesome and they have dresses to meet any budget!

I found my dress (which is in that price range) at Estelle's Dressy Dresses in Farmingdale. They don't seem like the classiest store, but they specialize in dresses at that budget so had a much wider selection than a lot of the stuffier bridal shops I went to where my price range was at the lower end of what they offered. You don't have to make an appointment, every time I've gone they've had an attendant available to help me. I also found that the attendants listened a lot better than some of the higher priced stores. I went to at least half a dozen bridal shops and didn't find anything because the attendants either didn't get what I was looking for (even when I got really specific) or they were just kind of snooty. Estelle's totally got it and I absolutely adore the dress I found there.

BHLDN has some really great boho vintage style dresses. They are a division of Anthropologie and also has bridesmaids dresses. Their look is so whimsy and beautiful. RK bridal also has a huge selection.

I went to Demetrios by Macy's and got my gown for 20% off (after all said and done spent about $2k).

Also check out Bridal Reflections. They have 3 locations in Carle Place, Massapequa and Manhattan with different price ranges.

Lovely Bride looks like they have amazing dresses, definitely some boho ones. I didn't get my dress from there because the avg price is about $3000. I got mine from Village Bridal in Babylon and loved working with them!

Boutiques are great for trying things on, but Glamlora wedding dress has a big selection of wedding dresses if you want more variety or better prices. I found browsing their site super helpful when figuring out my preferred silhouette.
