Who buys the garter, guest book and bag?

Hi Ladies, I'm a former bride on here and now my best friend is getting married and I'm her co-MOH. The other co-MOH asked if we're supposed to buy her the garter, guest book and bag for her shower, but I didn't think so. Are we supposed to get that? Or is that something that she'd get herself? Thanks!

youre not supposed to... but you can if you wanted to... but i would talk to the bride first she might have bought something already...

I bought my own garter. My mom bought me a few pieces from my lenox set (unity candle, toasting flutes and pic frame) the rest I put on my registry.

My mom told my sister & I that in her family its tradition that the MOH purchases the garter, toasting flutes, cake knife & server & unity candle set. My sister picked out & purchased my garter. She also purchased the toasting flutes that DH & I picked. She intended to purchase the cake knife & server as well but others purchased those off the registry before she had a chance to.

I bought all my own.

I bought all that for myself, and was given a guest book.

Congrats on getting married! How was your OFC wedding?? I am having my reception there too and would love to hear feedback.

I think its something that the bride gets herself cuz she may have a vision of what she wants.. u have enough to do anyway lol

I bought all of that on my own. IMHO I would expect that of my MOH that stuff can get expensive!!!!
