Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
I've been going back and forth with this. My hair has never been as long as it is right now (I have been growing it out for the wedding). I do like it this length but a part of me wants to chop it all off after the wedding! I want to do like a shoulder length look like this:
I do like this too but I'm not sure if I would have the guts to cut it this short:
I bought this up to FH and he likes my hair long, but it's so annoying to maintain everyday!
Any other girls planning on chopping it all off?

I cannot wait to chop it all off...being as long as it is now it honestly just gets thrown up in a pony tail...o whats the point of having it long? :)

I grew my hair out for the wedding - it was almost down to my waste. On Monday I cut almost a foot off - It's still past my shoulders but sooo much shorter.

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
I was just talking about this last night with FH. I plan on chopping my hair after the wedding. My hair has always been long and either straight or curly. I had it really, really short once and hated it but I was always very heavy at the time and didnt know how to style my hair. I'm probably gonna do some type of bob with very pale blonde highlights. You should try it. It will always grow back.

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
yeah like I am not one to sit there and actually style my hair every day. I love the way my hair looks blown out and curled after I get out of the salon but I have no patience or time to do that myself every day. That's why I like the shorter hair - much easier to work with every day. I don't think I will go as short as the second pic but definitely the first one.

Be careful tho-short is not always easier. If your hair has any sort of wave to it, it tends to get wavy when short. I thought the same thing when I did it but it ended up being the opposite and took forever to style.

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
I chopped my hair last January. I was really bored with it and it was really stupid to do before the wedding. I didn't really like it so short, it was just past my chin. It's taking forever to grow back as I do get regular trims (otherwise the split ends get so tangled!). It was fun to do, but I wouldn't go from super long to the chin. Do it in stages.

ehh than that might be a an issue. Like if I don't blow dry my hair and let it air dry my hair gets really wavy. I may just have to blow it out every day but it will be a lot quicker to do with less hair!

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
I was just telling my assistant yesterday how much I want to cut my hair, and can't. I usually cut it short for the spring/summer, so I don't know if I will cut it immediately after the wedding, or after our honeymoon in Jan, or back to the routine of an April chop

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
I am! I want to do something like this:
And get my hair lightened up - blonde highlights type of thing.
WIll probably do it after the honeymoon
I haven't had my hair that short since I was probably like 8 years old, but I think it will just help me feel more sophisticated

Oh Man!!!! I've been itching to do it!!!!!! I always do this!! I grow it long, hate it, chop it, regret it and grow it again... Its a viscous cycle!!!!

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
This is the shortest I've had my hair since 1997

So I'd say, yes, I'll probably post wedding chop - to about the length in the picture

I seriously cannot wait to cut my hair.It is so long and heavy, it makes me sweat! I'm not cutting it because of the wedding. I can't wait till October!

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
FH loves my hair long and right now it's super duper long. I will probably go a little shorter/more layers like I'm used to or get bangs again

Re: Who's planning on doing a post wedding chop?
FH also likes my hair long lol. But it's just TOO long right now. I'm not going to chop it off, but I will definitely be cutting inches! It's just no longer manageable anymore, but I don't want to cut until after the wedding.

That's another thing I miss - the bangs! Not like short bangs, but I had longer ones that I would sweep to the side and I grew them out for the wedding since I didn't know what I was doing with my hair. I definitely want those back too but people have told me they like me without them.
