it doesn't matter what neckline you have as long as the colors on the dresses match. when I was a BM for one of my friends, she had the MOH wear a different style, but the color and material was from the same designer and it looked great, plus gave the MOH more distinction.

No... it's actually nice to differentiate you MOH from the other girls. My BMs are wearing strapless and my MOH is wearing a tank... very similiar to what you want, but T length!

I just read an article the other day that said no 2 women will fit into the same dress and both look really good. My sister picked her color scheme and the BM pick their own dresses. I wanted the BM to have all the same, but I am worried because they are all different sizes and shapes.

I am lucky that all my bridesmaids are gorgeous gals, all slim too, hey they make me look bad LOL! The only difference is in chest size which is critical for the halter I wanted them to wear.

All of my BMs wore different dresses in the same color. It looked nice because they're all different sizes and they all smiled more because they were wearing something they were comfortable in...plus it made them complain about having to get a dress less, so bonuses all around!

But if you only want one different one, it's good that its the MOH so she stands out as the second most important girl in the room.

the different necklines-- is a better idea anyway-- the MOH manyy times looks different then the rest of the girls--

I have the same problem!! I don't think a different neckline is a big deal at all. You want to make sure your girls are wearing something that flatters them or they won't be comfortable

So I asked her tonight and she says though she likes the halter better she doesn't want to stand out and have people wonder why she is wearing a different gown (she looks fab in both gowns anyway). So I think I will have her just with different flowers. I think she is worried people will think she is preg or something.

I think that the cut of the dress is the same so both necklines would go well since the rest of the dress compliments one another....great choice!
