My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have a cousin who was born with spina bifida. The doctors said she would never walk. She had surgeries when she was young and has been able to walk since then! Shis is now 26, she walks with braces, has a job and a boyfriend and they will probably be engaged by Christmas!

That is very encouraging and I will mention that to my cousin. . .when I talk to her later. she is really just kind of holing herself up in her house with her husband while they wait for the results of her testing. . . We haven't heard anything as of yet. . . but we really appreciate everyone's support. . . I really believe in the power of prayer and positive thoughts and I believe it will help April and Brian get through whatever news comes tomorrow. . . so please keep it coming! --Jennifer

I am so sorry!!! I have a cousin who was born with spina bifida. She had several surgeries after she was born, however, now she can walk with braces. She is a teenager now and lives a fairly normal life. Just stay hopeful! My prayers are with your family!
Sorry I missed your earlier post
thank you for sharing and offering us some positive encouragement.
And the rest of you. . . what can I say?? You're the best! Thanks

I am so sorry to hear about this!!!!
I'll pray for a miracle and wish April and Brian good fortune. What they are going through it horrible but if the prognosis is correct then a termination would be the best choice for all involved.

Oh My God... I'm am so sorry. I can't even imagine. I am against abortion, too, but in cases like this, you have to make whatever decision would be best for mom and child... especially if the baby would just be in pain for the short amount of time he or she would have on this earth. The baby is better off, in this case, just being with God as his angel - and as your cousin's lifelong angel. What a terrible situation... one of the worst a person could go through. I feel so sorry for your cousin, April. She is in my prayers - as are you and the rest of your family. I know this is such a tough time for all of you. I wish you all the best.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
And God Bless that little baby!

Re: Your PRAYERS NEEDED please. . . UPDATE. . .
I'm soo lost w/ this post. I have been lurking for sometime now, and not posting but after reading this I had to send out my well wishes.W/o going into detail my son was born w/ a rear trachea disease in which the doctors told me about it before he was born. They also told me that by the time he was 5 months his lungs would collapse, and wouldn't get enogh oxygen to the brain. Well needless to say he will be 3 on X-mas and is here now w/ us running, and jumping and breathing like a normal 2yr old should. And his trachea has been fully developed as it should be
I myself am a strong believer in prayer. I believe it heals whether the situation turns out good or bad. I'm sorry to hear about your families situation but I will def keep them in mind, and in my prayers. Just be their for you cousin as much as you can

Re: Your PRAYERS NEEDED please. . . UPDATE. . .
we had a family member in a similar situation and she was practically forced by her doctors to terminate the pregnancy as well. The doctor is 100% accurate is saying that bc they can see the situation now it will almost definitely get worse - My heart goes out to your family, let your cousin know, when she is ready, that there are support groups out there for women who have lost babies late in term - best wishesWelcome New Vendors
