Does anybody know a roundabout price pp for April/May at the Bourne Mansion? Is there a site fee?

Bourne Mansion prices??
I was quoted 170pp ++ for November if that helps any....as for a site fee, I believe there may be, not positive. I didn't get that far into the conversation once I was told the price. However, my dad knows someone that was just married there and negotiated to about 110pp ++ so it could be possible to negotiate!

Re: Bourne Mansion prices??
It is definitely possible to negotiate...especially if you book a Friday or Sunday. But there is a site fee paid to St. John's University.

Re: Bourne Mansion prices??
i have the price list at home and can FM you prices for april/may when i get home.. if you would consider march, the price is less than it is for april/may.you can def negotiate, we were able to.
there is a site fee which is non-negotiable. the amount of the site fee depends on the month and day of the week.

Re: Bourne Mansion prices??
you can def negotiate. also, since the site fee is a donation to St. Johns, tax deductible.

Re: Bourne Mansion prices??
There is a site fee and we saved a couple of thousand dollars by booking last weekend in April. Fee goes up May 1. BTW, the venue was stellar, people are still raving about the mansion and the food.

The site fee is $2500 for off season and I think $4000 for Summer season? I could be wrong, I know January was definitely $2500.

I was at the Bourne mansion today... they have some nerve charges those prices. It's NOT well kept.. the paint was scuffed, and the place was a mess. I thought I was gonna be in love with this place. But was actually horrified went I went through it. There was another couple there when we were looking.. Just so happens we bumped into them at The Carltun an hour later... they were horrified as well. It just looks old and beat up. not pretty at all. The Carltun was AMAZING.

quoted $149 with 175 person min (got this price because wedding was in 6 months) Sat evening in May or June. Site fee 5K. I'm sure you can negotiate this even more if you are having a short engagement or willing to do fri or sun

a-this post is from 2012...b-that's the first i'm ever hearing of the bourne not being well kept.. it was fabulous for my wedding in March last year and we have heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests on how gorgeous the place was and what a great time they had .. I think it was well worth the money.

I visited them about a month ago and it's beautiful.the site fee was 4000 or 5000 dollars on a Sunday in September. It would be like 139 pp before taxes and fees, 180 per person with the taxes and fees but once you tag on the site fee it works out to $210 pp so it was over our price range. That was with 120 person minimum.

I went there a few weeks ago... the paint was all scuffed and not fresh. The furniture was dirty. Broken windows... there's a huge difference between old and broken down and vintage and charming. it was no Oheka Castle. The guy that ran was acting like there's no other like it... honestly, my in-laws house blows it to shame. I should just get married there. lol

There's no reason to bring this negative energy. Not everyone is going to like every venue - that is why LI has so many of them. But to reply to a thread from 2012 and then bash a venue that some ladies here have booked is rude.

and to reply not once but TWICE on an old thread about disliking a venue is just straight up uncalled for
