I don't remember the exact prices for it - but I grew up in Bayville and always wanted to get married there. It was way out of our budget though - we could only afford it if we had it on a Thursday night in the summer, and even that was $105 pp. I think Saturday night in the summer was $165.

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

I got married at LE and they did an awesome job...food and service were great!! We are still getting compiments about our wedding. :) I also went to a wedding there about 6 years ago and I still remember it!! :)
I went to Captain Bill's for a retirement dinner last year in the spring and they did not impress me as much...the service was ok and the food was good, but there were problems like the chairs being very hard to sit on and the valet was backed up for at least half an hour in the rain...a lot of guests were irritated at the end of the night. I also went to the restaurant before about 2 years ago and they had great food, but our server was very rude and nasty so I never went back...sorry just honest here
I went to the Crescent Beach Club and it's a beautiful place outside but I was worried about how it would be if it rained. We didn't love the interior as much as the outside. We also didn't like that they don't do formal tastings...they would have had us come in during someone else's wedding CH in a room in the back to let us taste the CH food but we weren't too happy with that...that means during our wedding, they would do the same thing during our CH!! Prices were about the same as LE but we liked LE much better... sorry I don't have prices for next year but if you do a search on here there is a thread on RH prices.
HTH...hope i wasn't too harsh...this is JMHO!! Feel free to FM me about LE if you want any more info about it!!!

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

I loved both, but wasn't crazy about their in case of rain options either.
I was quoted for a Sunday in July 08:
CBC -- 140
LE -- 125

I strongly considered LE, but it was out of my price range, and I really loved Thatched Cottage too, which was in my price range, so I went with Thatched Cottage. Another place to check out. Its not on the beach, but it is on a body of water and is beautiful.

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

I just got married at the CBC. It rained horribly that day and night. The place was still spectacular. Everyone's taste is different. I wanted a place that was simple on the inside. Their food is amazing though. You should really take a look at each of the places though. Different strokes for different folks. Good luck

Crescent Beach Club
Captain Bills
Land's End

For Lands End - It completely varies by date and how many you guarantee - but averages at about $170 a person for a Sat night wedding in the summer. About $155 in the Spring. Its a decent amount less on Fridays/Sundays . I am doing Lands End and I am so happy about it. I have never heard a negative thing said about it. FHs close friend got married there before we knew them, so we were not there but they are so excited were having the wedding there. He said people still tell him it was the best wedding they ever went to.

Crescent Beach Club was to far for me but I was told its about $200 a person on a Saturday night.

I looked at Venetian and Huntington Harbor Club which were both very nice and a similar feel. They were both a little cheaper then Lands End and very nice. I considered both but in the end went with my gut.

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

Lands End has a Bridal Showcase next Sunday 1-4, its on their website. You have to RSVP. It would be a good chance to check out Lands End and their other location Flowerfields.

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

Crescent is VERY expensive because you are paying for there location. The foods great but limited IMO. I was just at a wedding there last week. Captin Bills has an amazing room, the food selection was very limited but good. I was at a wedding there 3 weeks ago.

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

I got married at Capt. Bills 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with my choice to have my reception there.

The service, the food and the atmosphere was everything and more that I could have asked for. The entire wait staff went above and beyond for myself, DH and our guests.. nothing was an issue.

As for the food, DH can be picky, but he loved everything. (He even tried the shark!) Everyone is still telling me how delicious the food was.

I have yet to give my full review, but I definately give them an A+

If you have any questions, or want to see some photos, feel free to FM.

Unfortunately, I can't give you an info on Lands End b/c I have never been there.. and as far as CBC, I thought that it was way overpriced.. but you pay for the location.

Good luck with whichever you chose!

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

I dont have pictures, but I have been to weddings at all three RH. I personally liked Lands End much better than both CBC and CB. JMO, but I have been to several weddings at Lands end, and Captain Bills. I have only been to 1 at Crescent, but the service and food at Lands End was the best by far.

Re: Crescent Beach Club/ Captain Bills/ Land's End

We just got married at Land's End early September. It's not only one of the most beautiful reception halls (in my opinion of course) in long island, they make every step of the planning process a breeze. I still get compliments on how great the service and food was. They take care of every little detail and they'll go above and beyond your expectations. It certainly isnt the least expensive place to have your wedding, but it is worth every penny. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't go with any place else. It took us about 4 months of non-stop searching to find a reception hall... so we've seriously been EVERYWHERE.... I was digging long and hard to find complaints about Land's End and I couldn't find anything to be concerned about. There are so many other aspects of your wedding that could potentially give you heartache during your planning process.... but if you go with Land's End, your reception pick will NOT be one of the things you'll ever have to worry about.
