Donation Card Wording

Has anyone done a donation card in lieu of favors, and if so, do you happen to have any wording to share?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I did it through the American Cancer Society and they printed it out for me:

With much thought and consideration,
we have chosen a special way
to say “Thank You” for sharing
our wedding day with us.

In lieu of a traditional wedding favor,
we have made a donation in your honor
to Breast Cancer in loving memory of
Rachel ******** and Barbara *******.
We also honor all those who won the battle
and those who can no longer be with us today.

We feel the finest gift
is one which helps others
live longer and healthier lives.

We truly appreciate your being
part of our special day.

We made a donation to St Jude's Hospital...and they print up scrolls or book marks with your names on them for you with this nice saying. They are really nice..we got them yesterday!

This is pretty much the wording we used too! I also translated it into Spanish since more than half our guests are Latinos. I made up little donation cards - pics in my DIY album if you want to see how they came out.
