Getting Married Out of Office

Does anyone think about what they are going to write in their Out Of Office at work when you leave for your wedding/HM?

Are you just going to have a regular one or are you going to say 'I'm gettting married!'

i think about this and wonder if it is work appropriate

I'm just going to have a regular out of office, stating the dates I'm going to be out. I think most people will know I'm getting married, but IMO its not really professional.

When I'm on vacation for a long time, I just say I'm out of the office with no access to voicemail or email. I will respond to you when I return on month/date.

so funny i was just thinking about this , since i will be out of the office for 3 weeks ...im gonna see what my manager says

I'm going to say

I will be out of the country until June 15th and returning to the office on June 16th, with limited access to email. please call one of my colleagues at blah blah blah if you need immediate assistance. Otherwise, I will respond to your message when I return.

can't wait. I don't want to say i'm getting married but my important clients will know b/c i will give them a heads up. and the 'out of the country' means i'm not reachable, a$$hole, so leave me alone!!!

i just left a regular out of office message. i thought about saying i'm off on my HM, but didn't think it'd be appropriate. my company is also rather conservative.

I'm going to have 'I'm out of the office for my wedding and honeymoon'...how often do you get to say that so why not.

I will probably just do something like 'I am out of the office and will not be checking my email. I will return on XXXX XX, 2008 and will be able to respond to you at that time.'

I was just setting this up on my office email atm since today is my last day here at work before the wedding.

IMO its unprofessional to leave that message, but then again I work in a private bank. I guess you know your company and their policies

I just put ' I will be out of the office starting Friday, March 7, 2008 and returning on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. I apologize for any inconviences this may cause.'

I didnt even think of that. Will prob just keep it simple out on vaca!! Most people will know anyway.
