How Many Towels Do I register For? I'm Clueless

Towels are $$$$$$!! ***? I love bath sheets so would like a few of those, but what is the protocol?
How many bath sheets, how many bath towels, how many hand towels etc.

Also - anyone know a good brand that has roomy bath TOWELS that will actually go all the way around my a$$? Most standard sized bath towels barely fit and I want roomier....

ok, i registered for two sets of regular towels, two different colors.
I asked for 2 bathsheets (of each color)
2 bath towels
2 hand
1 tubmat
2 face
2 washcloth
then I registered for a set of Fancy towels for show.

ok.. well I'm not registering for towels simply because of the fact that I don't know what my color scheme is going to be being that I don't have a house yet but my Fortunoff's book reads as follows:

6 bath towels
6 hand towels
6 washclothes
4 fingertip towels
4 bath sheets

Fortunoff has a great bridal registry suggestion list -I think they recommend:
Bath Towel - 6
Hand Towel - 6
Wash Cloth - 6
Bathsheet - 4
Finger Tip Towel - 4
Tubmat- 4
Scatter Rug 2
Robe 2
Body Wrap 2

The larger towels are called 'Body Towels' - most of the companies make them.

I registered for:

2 bath sheets
2 bath towels
2 hand towels
2 wash cloths

In 2 different colors so I have a total of 4 of each.

I ordered 6-8 sets of everything....I would suggest ordering more bath towels for laundry purposes.

I would get enough sets, so that everyone living in or staying at (overnight guests) your home has their own set. Also some ladies use two bath towels one for their hair, one for their body, so maybe extra bath towels.

i did, 2 bath, 2 hand and 1 washcloth each of 2 colors. but I know I am not the norm! we have towels already and not too much storage space. we are only 2 people. (well so far!) and Im not much of an advanced planner
