I have a question about 'my fair wedding'

Does the show pay for all the changes David makes, or does the Bride and Groom?

i don't know for sure... but i highly doubt the bride and groom have to pay for anything... that would be insane

Re: I have a question about 'my fair wedding'

i would assume yes. esp bc he often changes the venue to expensive places that were probably not in their original budget.

Re: I have a question about 'my fair wedding'

I don't think so. There was a 09' bride who was on and she said that they don't.

I've thought about it alot cuz my mom is pressing for me to do it. But lets say they DO pay for everything. If he changes vendors then your still responsible for fulfilling the contract that you made with them. So I feel like you'd kinda be losing $.

I'm very confused about the whole thing thuogh. Cuz he spent WAY WAY more $ on the wedding that just aired (African godess) then he did 2 weeks before (the girl in NJ who had tree cp's).

Re: I have a question about 'my fair wedding'

I think the show pays for everything that David does, but the bride and groom are still responsible for paying for everything that they had originally booked.

I am confused about this too. Some people get EVERYTHING and some only get a few things. It's weird.

This is what FH said when I said I wanted to go on that show. He figured we'd be wasting our money and that the things David Tutera does aren't THAT great. Then the whole party moved outside for fireworks (it was a repeat) and that thoroughly shut him up. LOL! I can't imagine they would make the bride/groom pay! There's no way they'd be able to afford that stuff!

Yes! This is exactly why I am so confused!!!! I am watching now and it is the south beach one where the girl wanted to use martini glasses as her CPs. There is another one on after this (I am slowly starting to enjoy being home sick)

So you end up paying the difference? So you gotta pay the difference AND the contracts that you already had but he cancelled?!

so if he spent 40K in upgrades you'd still have to pay your original vendors AND the extra 30k??? that's insane!

when my friend aplied it was the first time before the show even aired (after it did she was happy she didnt make it). so thats what the papers said at that time implying that they wouldnt cancel your contracts/change vendors but rather just give you lighitng/more flowers/a band maybe, etc.

I think as the show went on, they realized that it makes for better tv to change a lot because as we all know 10 K of upgrades is great but wont necessarily make the wedding 'look' like a platinum wedding (itll be a lot of stuff that we notice as the brides or our guest notice but wont 'wow' as much on tv') I think they pay your vendors anything needed to cancel your contracts and maybe the amount you were going to pay each of those vendors, you have to put towards the wedding and they pay the rest.

OK and my second question is how do the brides have all time to be running around 3 weeks before the wedding? Don't they work?

I guess this makes sense.
