Re: Nassau County Museum of Art - Wedding location
I've been there, but only for an exhibit-- if I knew they did weddings, I would have maybe looked into it-- I like the idea of getting married at a museum.Caterign costs may be high- if they have to bring people in though.

I've been there several times and taken photos on the beautiful grounds. I think they only have weddings in this tent thing next to the main bldg. The one time I saw the tent it had collapsed, so I can't judge that. Anyway, I think it would be a great place.

Yeah-- my FH and FSIL are friends with the daughter of the guy who runs/owns Philip Stone.. so, what I know of it- all good things..let me check out the site.
But- I see you have posted a lot of thigns about prices. etc.. What I did when I first started looking was calling palces I was interested in and getting their price ranges-- you'd be surprised how much info they give you over the phone/

Does that fee include the food? Do they supply bartenders as well?

Re: Nassau County Museum of Art - Wedding location
I checked out the Nassau County Museum of Art for having our wedding. Your reception is held in the tent that is connected to the building. They told us that it could be air conditioned or heated as needed. We did not discuss fees, because I was not into having the reception in the tent, but they did tell us that if you are member of the museum the fee is either negotiable or lower. I'm sorry I don't remember the details. I was so disappointed that you couldn't be inside the museum for reception or cocktail hour. I'm sure it probably has to do with liability and insurance.Welcome New Vendors
