It's a beautiful song.

You can always go with
Tiempo de Vals by Chayanne. This was my father/daughter dance for my Quince... dunno if that will help..

its not very father daugther-ish but it is traditional...

mi nina bonita - he sings about the day his daughter was born and the day she gets married and it's really charming. my dad & i danced to it because he used to sing it to me when i was a baby.

I listened to these other songs...they sound like love songs for couples to me...but thank you I do love them just not for me and my dad

well I sorta wanted it to be a suprise for my dad, and I did go ask my mom but she keeps saying to dance the waltz with him, but I feel like thats so 'Quincera' if you ask me. If all else fails I might just have to ask him to pick something.

truth be told, I don't think my dad would be that into it, he would probably say 'whatever you want dear'...he would dance to the Hokey Polky if I told him to..LOL

Actually the Juanes songs where written by Junes for his first daughter ( I know they sound like love songs) but look up the lyrics and its more about 'undying love' then about romantice love.

I decided to go with a much more upbeat song. Celia Cruz, La Vida es un Carnaval. After our hype entrance, when this song came on, the crowd began cheering! Song was totally different and original. Its now truly 'our' song. Extremely glad I chose a song that set the tone for a great party!
