Outdoor Ceremony at 60 degrees??
Everytime I picture my wedding, I picture it outside. The inside ceremony is beautiful also, but I would prefer outside. The weather says it will be around 60 degrees on Sun (so they say now).My question is, is 60 too chilly for a 20 min outdoor ceremony? They will be seated a bit longer actually. I don't want them to freeze and neither do I.
If its windy then its obviously a NO. They can decide that morning so obviously we will see what the weather actually turns out to be THAT day.
And they can still keep the CH inside which is good.
Either way unless it rains, we will take outside pics.
I'm just curious what everyone thinks.
TIA

it maybe for the old people your really have to figure out if the hall recommends it. They truly will know what is best for you and the guests. If your heart is really set on it and you want to tell them your pushing for it they will take that into consideration.

Re: Outdoor Ceremony at 60 degrees??
Sunday is supposed to be GORGEOUS! 60- but with full sun. I would play it by ear. If it's sunny & not windy 60 degrees- I think it would be fine.... Do they have heat lamps? I went to a wedding at the watermill- cocktail was outside and they had heat lamps around...

I would wait until Sunday morning to make the decision!!! it was 60 yesterday, but since it was cloudy, it was chilly and yucky.I'll keep my fingers crossed, i'd love for you to get married outside!

I think its fine, as long as its sunny out. If its overcast, 60 degrees can seem cold.

I say go for it- spread the word for people to bring coats. is there a place that older people can watch from if they are cold and want to be inside.

60 seems like a little chilly still for an outdoor wedding. Especially if you have older guests. Also, women will be in dresses and 60 can be cold if you aren't moving around.JMO

Re: Outdoor Ceremony at 60 degrees??
if its really sunny and no wind it might be ok....we had our eparty outside and i forget the exact temperature, it was a cooler day for september and i was freaking out because we just had a tent and no option to go indoors and my dress was strapless! i think it was around 65 degrees and it was chilly for the older people - i had 3 aunts all in their 70-80s who left after about 45 minutes because they were freezing - everyone was prepared because they knew the party was outside - at night it was about 57 degrees but people were drinking and dancing so it was alright - im sure there were complainers but we didnt care
they are grown ups - they knew the party was going to be outside so bring a sweater!
i think if people survived for 5 hours at my eparty it will be okay for a 20 minute ceremony - its only 20 minutes and if there is no wind and there is sun, i think it would be pleasant
