Professional Calligraphy Pricing

Someone told me that it can cost $1.00 per line?
So $3-4 per envelope----that's crazy...

Anyone receive a cheaper rate?

Re: Professional Calligraphy Pricing

We're paying $3.50 per invite BUT we're not just having someone do calligraphy in the style that they do it all of the time. The girl we are using is matching the calligraphy to the font on our invitation, as well as the color (champagne). You can definately find cheaper for black ink in whatever font they use.

Re: Professional Calligraphy Pricing

I had mine done by hand for 1.50 for inner and outer. They were beautiful. So far, it's the first thing I am glad I splurged on.
She is on Long Island, I dropped them off and picked them up. (I think she does different colors as well.)
Let me know if you want more info.

Good Luck

Re: Professional Calligraphy Pricing

Inksup is computer done I believe. If you want it hand done, try A fine letter

I didn't use them , but I have heard good things & I was going to use them untill DH's aunt volunteered.

ETA--just checked A Fine Letter's website & they aren't taking orders untill Summer, but for those of who can wait, they have great prices.

Re: Professional Calligraphy Pricing

i got mine done with a woman that was recommended here on liweddings - i loved them and they came out beautiful - she charged me $1.50 per set of envelopes and i got to choose the font style and the color of the ink...

she was so great to work with and i just dropped them off (shes in bellmore) and picked them up, i never thought that i would get hand calligraphy for that price and it would be so beautiful. Plus she was easily one of the nicest people that i have ever met while planning my wedding and was so easy to work with. When i messed up on a couple of addresses/names she said not to worry about it and she redid them for me!

why spend $1.50 to have them done on the computer if you can have them hand done

i have her contact info if anyone is interested and here are some pics
