Response card wording

Do you think it would be tacky to put on the response card:
'___ of ___ guests will attend'

Traditionally its just:
___ guest attending

I read about the first option in an article so I was wondering if you thought it would be ok or is it rude. I mainly thought of doing this because I'm not inviting everyone with a guest and I have some family that will assume that they can bring as many people as they would like.

I did this for the same reason as you and therefore do not think its tacky, but I gott atell you atleast 50% left that line blank-I don't think they got it-I've seen this option lately, which may be more clear:

We have reserved __seats in you honor

___accept w/pleasure
___ people will be attending (something like this)
___regretfully decline

I would stick with the traditional wording.

I don't think most would get what you mean using the other wording
