Im thinking white tree branch centerpieces with maybe candles or something.... Is that something more expensive than flowers, or will I be able to strike a deal???

Re: Tree branch centerpieces?

It depends on how much extra you want added to it. Sometimes they can be a steal (especially if DIYed) but once you start adding crystals and candles and hand attached flowers, they are just as pricey (if not more) than flower CPs.

This is what we want to do too... there are some pics in my album of the kind of thing we are looking for. I haven't met with any florists yet but have been told that these can be just as expensive as flower centerpieces :( We were thinking of doing a mix of high and lows, where the highs would be the branches with candles, and the lows would just be tons of candles of all different sizes with rose petals.

Good luck!

Re: Tree branch centerpieces?

I want the same thing. I've called to a couple of florists and asked about them, and for the branches only with a few flowers (you provide the crystals or whatever else you want on them) I've gotten quotes around $200-$300 each. We thought about DIYing them too, its MUCH cheaper. We found some great websites to get the supplies too.

Re: Tree branch centerpieces?

WHAT????!!!!! Are you freakin kidding me???? 200 - 300 is A LOT per centerpiece for a bunch of branches, I mean really!

Wow! All i want is a few white branches to look Wintery, and I figured that it would be much cheaper than flowers!

Insane......

I HATE roses and wanted something nice and simple!

Wellll, we DIYed crystal trees for our guest book table. They were beautiful and relatively cheap! We purchased the tall vases and the silver spray paint at Michael's with 40% off coupons, we purchased the curly willow branches at Christmas Tree Shop which was maybe $5 a bundle? We purchased 2 big bundles for our 2 vases but had some left over.

We purchased the crystals/beads from Michael's which were kinda expensive (though IMO it only cost so much because we went a little crystal crazy), but you don't have to do that at all if you don't want to! Check 'em out!

YEP! My thoughts exactly.

We also thought about DIY... we always go into stores like Michael's and AC Moore to check out prices. My mom is really creative and wants to try doing them herself. It is definitely doable, may be annoying but there's no way I am paying 200 a centerpiece without even flowers!
