Re: Winters and Rain headpieces

I bought mine at Kleinfelds during a trunk show last year. Check out Winters & Rain website for locations. Mine was from the Couture Collection. But all their headpieces can be un-wired after your wedding and strung into jewelry. I know they told me that mine we have enough pearls and crystals for a three strand necklace. But you can design it any way you want I believe.

I figured at least I would get more use out if -- and when you wear the jewelry it will remind you of your wedding day.

Re: Winters and Rain headpieces

I thought it was a good idea -- since they are so exspensive to begin with right?

They said they are the only company that does this -- so I guess it's pretty unique!! I met the owner at the trunk show -- he was great to work with!!

Sounds like a great idea (making it into jewelry)

I don't know why, however, the owner told you that they are the only company that does that... I have a Denise Leli headpiece and it can also be worn as a necklace... And the piece I have doesn't have to go back to be made into it... It's FLEXIBLE and you can switch it from head to neck immediately!! I'm planning to wear it on my HM.

I think your tiara is very pretty though-- I just thought I would let you know that her stuff can be made into jewelry also. Some pieces do have to go back to her to be transferred but at least it's really easy b/c she is right in Suffolk County and works out of some Bridal Shops so she can meet up with you at several locations.

Good luck!! I have actually never heard of this headpiece company until now-- I thought they were new at first. Hmm...

HTH!!!

Re: Winters and Rain headpieces

I think she was saying that they are probably the only company that will take it back and re-string it into any necklace you want... different style... and every piece is then custom.

Not that you can just sting your headpiece onto a chain and it will become a necklace.

I think that is a really cool idea!

oh, maybe i didn't write clear enough-- i'm always doing that!!! lol-- i meant to say that denise does the same thing... she will take it back and make it into anything you want-- all of her work is custom. IDK i just found it odd that the owner said they are the only ones that do that-- i guess he is just not aware that denise does also. no biggie.

thanks tho!!

Re: Winters and Rain headpieces

Yours is lovely! I thought about buying a Winters and Rain headpiece myself, but the prices just weren't in my budget. Guess I'll just have to wear my tiara for formal occasions after the wedding.

I still not 100% sure how I want to wear my hair and sometimes I see broaches and combs in photos that look awesome -- but then I know I loved my headpiece when I bought it.......sometimes my indecisiveness sets in. and it gets the best of and I start question my decisions. anyone else feel like that sometimes? I'm sure we all get it sometimes.

maybe go back to wear you bought your dress after you've had a hair trial and try on different headpieces so you can see the full look.

OMG Renee... reading your post reminds me of what I felt before I chose my Headpiece. I was like I'm not a tiara girl... she has sooooooo many non-tiara styles to choose from!!!

And then if, for some reason, nothing is PERFECT for you-- she can just custom make it! It's a one on one appointment which was my favorite part b/c I didn't have like 15 brides to contend with... She has several locations that she can meet you at but I went directly to her in St. James. It's up to you though...

Here's her contact info: 631-862-1932... that way, you can speak with her and based on where you live you guys can come up with the easiest place to meet.... Don't you just love convienence?? lol

she also has a site but there's like 5% of what she has in person on there-- so there's MUCH more to choose from, including her new line which is mostly non-tiara's and flexible pieces... http://www.deniseleliheadpieces.com/pages/1/index.htm

good luck, hth!!! i guarantee you'll find something you love-- i was SUPER picky and found something... oh and you can check out my album-- i have just a few i tried on the other night at oheka lol... i was playing
