Aqua and Red Wedding Colors
Help, I am having a color crisis. I want big fluffly hydrangea for Sept wedding, but no florist will promise me they come in the lime green I want! They all say 'they aren't greenlike that in Sept'So, my next pic would be red and aqua, like martha stewart did a few months ago ... but maybe not exactly..
Anyone have any pics of light blue aqua and red orange wedding themes?
I don't love this, but ... its all I could find

can u ask your florist to see if they can dye the white hydrangea...maybe you can see how it looks like before you change your mind...good luck

I believe the greenish color is a 'young' flower, then they turn blue to purple to pink depending on the acidity of the soil they were grown in.I would go for the Orchid that is a lemon/lime colored & the Calla Lily that is reddish orange (more orange) to keep your original colors.

Re: Aqua and Red Wedding Colors
what about doing white hydrangea and green orchids instead of the green hydrangea? then you can keep your old colors.i'm not doing aqua and red, but i'm doing more of a medium blue with coral accents. i have some pictures in my album. my base color was blue, and i loved the way the coral pops -- I wanted something cheerful and summery since we are an afternoon Aug wedding

Thanks, great advice! I'm actually attempting to do a 'bright' fall color theme, considering its September but the weather will be not too cold, so the fall colors will look too dark. But I want to stay away from looking too 'tropical' with the orchids and calla...
I have to think, doing all roses is so expensive. I would just do that to have my colors.: :(

Re: Aqua and Red Wedding Colors
Oooh, what a great idea.Hydrangeas are a great bet, otherwise you could just do cream flowers and accent the colors of bmaid dresses with jewelry!
You've inpsired me! Too bad I chose my colors already!! One could do turquoise cocktail length dresses with chunky red coral necklaces or cocktail length coral dresses with chunky aqua necklaces. Those colors are soooo complimentary The only thing is it sort of seems more summery than a September wedding.
The other thing is to do a more periwinkle shade of blue with a coral red.
