Affordable venues close to North Fork for tight budget

Hello everyone....

I am planning a 100ppl wedding in 2012 summer with tight budget(10,000-12,000)...just started looking for RH. I have seen quite a few post discussing affordable RHs. I was planning to rent a farm or vineyard since I live in north fork...however the site fee turns out to be way much more than I anticipated(6000-8000).

I am going to check out some famous budget RHs in Suffolk first: beach club estate/windows on the lake; miller place inn, the meadow club, medterrian manor, vina de villa, brentwood CC, sterlings......I am looking for <80$ pp (tax+tip included)...

Any recommendation for affordable RH more closer to north fork? Thanks in advance!

You should maybe check out some restaurants on the north fork. Also, if you do it in off season, the north fork will be a lot less. HTH!

Have you checked out Vineyard Caterers? I know they are way cheaper than having it at an actual vineyard, but you still get the same kind of feel.

This, I have heard the same. We are getting married on a Vineyard/Farm, but if we could not have swung that I was gonna look at VC. I think you can do it for @ your budget too, they take care of everything right down to your cake.

THIS! Esp. if you are flexible with dates. etc. they will be able to work with your budget. Try meeting with them. East Wind might also work for you if you don't do summer or do a Thursday night wedding.

My brother had his wedding at Miller Beach Surf club(miller place) , its so pretty there , awesome water view. East Wind in wading river is where I'm having mine, you should check them out as well.

Brecknock hall in greenport. I know a very affordable caterer. A friend is getting married their next weekend
Founders landing in southols righr om water 450 site fee and u need a caterer but great place been to many events there.

Where on the north fork do u live?? Thats where we live!!!!

I went to a wedding at vineyard caterers and it was so nice. the food was great. not sure of the pricing though.

Not too many restaurants in north folk as far as I know

i have heard of VC. But I heard they charge 70+ in off season? gotta see it in person...

I have appointments with miller surf and miller place inn on this Saturday and will see ...

I live in riverhead The site fee of Brecknock is similar to vineyard(5000-6000) and the vendors in their list are not too cost effective (70-100++). I would def be interested in Brecknock if I can find an less expensive cater! :D

you dont have to use their preferred vendors. she isn't.
it's gorgeous there!!!

East Wind has a room that they don't really advertise the veranda room. very pretty for a smaller wedding.

we got married at Vineyard Caterers. We were a Friday night in June, our minimum was 125 and we paid 105 flat.

I have heard that hotel indigo is doing weddings now, not sure of pricing,but i know someone getting married their next summer.

Miller Beach Surf club in Miller place is very nice.

Martha Clara Vineyards sight fee is significantly less if you do a March or April wedding. We had looked there and were kinda set on it but we had a bigger wedding and it woudl not have fit in the room, they can definetly do a 100 person wedding though. I believe for this past spring site fee was 3000 or so.

i know they do weddings at the soundview in greenport. although it is more like a restaurant than a catering hall.

soundview is over 100 a person. we called there. pridwin on shelter island is over 120 a person.

I just got reply from miller surf beach club. They ask 40 for sunday brunch and 75 for Saturday sit down dinner, tax and tip not included. I am thinking of a Friday dinner now. My date is not too flexible...most likely to be restricted in summer time due to some of my working schedule.(yeah...I admit I love outdoor wedding...:D)

I am just a bit surprised miller place inn also charges 95+ for saturday evening, not more affordable than east wind...

Yeah...will bug you via email later. :D too bad riverhead town does not have good activity center or parks to rent out...:((

there's always a destination wedding!!!!!we're going to one in February/early March.

ther is also Mill Pond Country Club in Middle Island
also call Michael Anthony's in Wading River I believe does catering at a country club

OOO I got it!!! I think Rock Hill Country Club in Manorville is less than 100 a person all any day/time..i believe they were 80 when I called last year. we went to a wedding there last year and it was gorgeous!!! also one event at a time. I know it was definetly less than 100 a person

I also believe Calverton Links is affordable as is Swan Lake Country . Also Bellport Country Club had good pricing and is a beautiful place.

What do you do for work that you are restricted? Also check out Majestic Gardens, I remember someone mentioning they had a package for 100 guests

Im getting married in the veranda room at East Wind. I'm paying a little more than that but I'm getting married on a Saturday night in August.

I would try where we booked. Three Village Inn! They have some great prices for 2012 - esp off season and Friday nights or daytime weddings.

Also, Miller Beach Surf Club... I know someone that had 70 people there for a wedding. I didn't attend but heard great things about it. Miller Place Inn, I know at one time for a Friday night it was 79 pp. That was in June but about 7 or 8 years ago. It's very pretty there too! Good luck!

Three Village Inn or the Hamlet at Willow Creek---Barbara is amazing there (and its the same price for a Friday or Saturday night!!)!!!

Miller Place Inn gave us a great price for July 2012, 89 pp which included photography, flowers, cake, and some other things.

Great price for Sat night and they have been so helpful...and I cant wait!

I went to Brentwood and they wanted 79 per person..but was not happy with their 'package', but it was a cute place and really local.

I am happy with our choice!
