Anyone who is a teacher, inviting their students to the ceremony??
Hi Ladies, I was wondering if anyone who is a teacher, will be inviting their students to the Church ceremony?? If so, do you have an idea as to how you will be wording the invites. I know someone posted a sample invite, I think from 2009, but I can't seem to find it:( If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated:) Thanks so much!!!

I am not b/c I am getting married at the RH and b/c my wedding is in August. If I was getting married in a church and my wedding was during the school year or right after school gets out then I def would.

I'm getting married on a Friday in Nassau and I work in Queens, so probably not. I think it is a nice idea though--the kids would love it! I went to my kindergarten teachers wedding and I remember she gave a flower to each of her students outside the church after the ceremony and took a pic with us. I still remember it!

if you can maneuver it without it being awkward with the RH and what not, i'd do it. you will make those kids lives. i still remember going to a teachers wedding back in the day as well. it was awesome as a kid

I am getting married on a Saturday in April so I am inviting the students from this years class since they are going through the process with me this year and my students from next years class.I am getting married in a church about 10 blocks from the school I teach in so most of the students will be able to make it.

Re: Anyone who is a teacher, inviting their students to the ceremony??
My students are coming (at least a few of them are). I didn't technically invite them- one of my parents said in front of other parents 'Oh well you know _______ has to see you get married'. Since then it has just been assumed that they are invited. I dont mind though because I have had my kids for 2 years and am very close with them and I only have a few because I am special ed (self-contained).

Definitly. I am getting married the end of July and had always planned on inviting any former and present students that wanted to come. My school is closing in June so all the more I would like to have my students and parents there. And from what I hear a lot plan on coming so we'll have a big spot for my school
