brides with red bouquets...

Is red one of your wedding colors? Our wedding colors are black, white and lilac. BM dresses are black with a lilac sash.

I really want a red rose bouquet even though red isn't one of our wedding colors. Do you think that would look weird?

I was going to give the girls purple rose bouquets to match their dresses.

Re: brides with red bouquets...

i'm having a red bo-k and red is one of my colors...we are doing black, white and red. honestly, i think it would look a little off if you have nothing else red, especially since it sounds like your accent color is lilac. - jmo

I agree. I'm having a red bo-k, and my colors are red, white, black, and silver.

Re: brides with red bouquets...

I think you could do it, but it might look odd in pictuers next to the girls holding lilac flowers.

What about doing a much deeper, darker purple for you, at least it's a complementary shade of what you have already?

Re: brides with red bouquets...

What if you added purple flowers to your bouquet? My cousin had red roses and purple daisys in her bouquet and it looked pretty.

Re: brides with red bouquets...

My bouquet is going to be 3 doz black magic roses. My colors are chocolate brown, pumpkin and crimson. IMO I don't think it matters what colors are in your wedding your bouq will look fine with red.

Re: brides with red bouquets...

funny you ask this because I went back and forth about having a red bouquet even though red is NOT one of my colors. My colors are black white and platinum. I'm getting married in the winter and I thought a red bouquet would be romantic and fitting given the season. Originally I was going to have my BM's have a red bouquet as well BUT I noticed on some pictures that the red doesn't pop against black dresses so they'll have white. This is honestly the only place I'll have red but I can't pass it up...I think it's such a classic look!

Re: brides with red bouquets...

I'm doing a red bo-k as well. My BM's are going to have a deep yellow with red and orange accents to help tie it in together. I think I've finally decided on royal blue and gold for our colors...took me long enough to come to that. Colors are stressful! Just as much as a guest list!

You could add some red to theirs to bring it all together. In the grand scheme of things, red is only going to be in the flowers. Not even sure yet if it'll be in the centerpieces.

Re: brides with red bouquets...

These aren't the best photos since none of them are really lilac but what about something like this?
