Can you get married on Saturday at city hall?
Hi, ladies,As you know my sister and her fiance are expecting so they're going to put off the big wedding until maybe this time next year. But they would like to have a civil ceremony next month. Does anyone know where in Nassau County you can do this-like judge or something and if it can be done on a Saturday?
Thanks!!

On a brief google search this is what I found:City Hall Wedding Ceremony
You can get married right in the Clerk's office for only $25 (money order only). Civil Marriage Ceremonies are performed in the Manhattan office from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm, Monday thru Friday (arrive no later than 3:15 pm). Couples must have at least one witness over the age of eighteen present at the wedding ceremony (witness must bring valid identification). After the civil Marriage Ceremony is performed, a marriage certificate will be issued to you that day.

You can't get married at City Hall on a Saturday, as they are closed on the weekends. But you may want to inquire as to whether you could have a judge preside over your sisters ceremony somewhere else!

Re: Can you get married on Saturday at city hall?
Thanks, girls!! They just didn't want to have to take off work right now to get married so they were hoping to do it on a Saturday. Maybe I should check if Pastor Mike (who married me & DH) is available and just have him come to the house. It would probably be more intimate that way.Welcome New Vendors
