Has anyone given or received the bridal shower candles with poem?

DH's friend's FI's shower is coming up, and I am buying the basket of candles that go with the poem. Are they usually the long, tapered ones? It sounded like from the poem that all colors come in pairs? Not sure what to buy...TIA!

One of my BMs did this for me for my shower. They were the long tapered candles and I loved it.

I just did for my sister's bridal shower and her and all the guests were crying when I read it to her!!! I did an assortment of different size candles in a basket.

I think assorted sizes would be nice so they can be used either separately or together or in different rooms!

If I get the shorter ones, do I still buy pairs of them? I am confused by 'A basket of candles That come in a pair'
That makes sense for tapered ones, that always go together, but even for shorter ones?

Should I change the line to

'A basket of candles to flare
In all different colors, For you two to share'

or
'A basket of candles to light if you care
In all different colors, For you two to share'

I have a stupid question - for the candles that are in a pair and are wrapped in 'plastic' should I remove the plastic? I don't want them to get ruined if she's not going to use them right away but on the other hand I don't think they look nice like that - help please!

When I did it, I didn't remove the plastic, because the candles were squished together in the basket...


OH,, and I hope I get one too!!!!!

I did it when I was a bridemaid for a bride. Everyone LOVED it!!! definitely do it, you'll be the favorite!
